THE WORLDS OF USHUAIA - THE LAND OF TRIBES
A journey through the lands of human beings living on their own terms, in harmony with Nature.
The Worlds of Ushuaia set off to encounter human beings who, despite living in the 21st century, do everything to nurture vital ties with Nature. This is a voyage into the heart of a forgotten humanity, bearing witness to the essential harmony between Man and Nature.
Each segment of this journey will reveal the most powerful bonds that the great human family has woven with its environment. From the freezing winds of Siberia, whipping the faces of the Tundra's reindeer breeders, to the Amazonian jungles, haven to the "last free humans", these contrasted horizons and decisive encounters are powerful and moving enough to unsettle all our convictions.
THE WORLDS OF USHUAIA - WILD AND FREE
A mesmerizing survey of migrating species and the many questions surrounding their irresistible urge to travel, against all odds.
From butterflies to wild horses, migrators set off on long and perilous journeys across oceans, through steppes, beneath the ice or in the air.
Across the five continents, The Worlds of Ushuaia explores the fascinating worlds of species that migrate to survive. To experience these incredible adventures, Nicolas Hulot takes us on highly dramatic encounters with this wild and free realm, in search of answers to migrations' many mysteries: Where does the urge to migrate come from, despite its perils ? How do migrating animals communicate, evolve or pass on knowledge to the next generation ?
