  • Synopsis

    In the wake of swelling rumors in a small French town after World War II, a prominent citizen suddenly became "The Witch of Loudun," being accused of having poisoned her husband and 11 other people.
    After being brought to trial no less than three times in 10 years, Marie Besnard finally walked free .
