Synopsis
In the wilds of far eastern Russia, the savage and beautiful story of a Siberian tiger and of those who try to protect him.
The world's biggest wildcat, the Siberian tiger, is one of the most endangered of wildlife species: a mere 500 survive in the snow-covered wilds of far eastern Russia.
But, in the taiga, the cat sometimes approaches villages and even attacks the cattle. It must be kept away from inhabited zones, in order to prevent the villagers from killing it. This is a job for the specialists of the Lazovski Nature Reserve.
A specialist in the tiger and its environment, researcher Galina Salkina -the only woman tracking this animal- conducts a dangerous investigation using new methods for protecting the cat. Like detectives, she and her team gather evidence, seek out the culprits and build a case for wildlife preservation.
This is the savage and wondrously beautiful story of a tiger that attacks villages and those who walk in its track.
